Oman (Arabic: عُمان), officially the Sultanate of Oman (Arabic: سلطنة عُمان), is a stunning country located on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. With a strategic position at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, Oman shares borders with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the northwest, Saudi Arabia to the west, and Yemen to the southwest. A Rich History and Culture
Oman was a powerful empire during the 17th century, competing with Portugal and Britain for dominance in the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean. In the 19th century, Omani influence extended to modern-day Iran, Pakistan, and Zanzibar (now part of Tanzania). Historically, Muscat served as a major trading hub in the Indian Ocean. Islam is the official religion of Oman, and its unique Ibadi form of Islam is known for its tolerance towards other faiths.

Oman is an absolute monarchy, with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq al-Said having ruled since 2020. The country ranks 25th globally in oil reserves but has diversified its economy with tourism, agriculture, and trade.
