Travel Advisory on COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak

Dated October 12th 2020

Prepared in accordance with IATA News daily updates and based on travel advisories that we are aware of published on October 12th, 2020.

You are advised to monitor and check official websites of World Health Organization, relevant authorities and local government agencies for the latest developments on COVID-19 coronavirus. Do adjust your travel plans based on the latest information provided.

BAHRAIN – published 09.09.2020
Visa on arrival facility restarted.
Passengers are not allowed to enter.
This does not apply to:
nationals and residents of Bahrain;
nationals of Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates;
passengers with an e-visa obtained before departure
passengers who can obtain a visa on arrival (Ref to the TIMATIC for list of 70 countries)
military personnel.
Passengers are subject to Coronavirus (COVID-19) test at their own expense for 60 BHD and can be paid via mobile app BeAware or on arrival cash/credit/debit cards using a Kiosk machine and self-isolation until test results are ready.
Border crossing on the causeway is suspended.
All passengers must wear face mask.

BANGLADESH – published 03.08.2020 (Source IATA News)
Flights to Bangladesh are suspended.
This does not apply to flights arriving from China (People’s Rep.), Malaysia, Maldives, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom.
This does not apply to humanitarian, repatriation and evacuation flights.
Suspension of visa on arrival facilities.
This does not apply to passengers traveling on business with a return/onward ticket. They must have a confirmation letter issued by the Bangladesh Board of Investment (BOI). The letter must contain a BOI registration number. The accredited inviting organization must notify the Immigration authorities prior to arrival.
All passengers are advised to have a medical certificate with negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result.
Passengers with a visa must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result issued at most 72 hours before departure.
This does not apply to:
passengers with a diplomatic or an official passport and their family members.
passengers with a Laissez-Passer and their family members.
passengers younger than 10 years.
A completed “Health Declaration Form” must be presented upon arrival.
Passengers are subject to medical screening and quarantine.

CHINA (People’s Rep.) – Published 29.09.2020
Passenger travelling from or via Oman
According to the joint announcement of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the General Administration of Customs of China and Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
Chinese and foreign travelers who are to fly from Oman to China are required to take nucleic acid tests for COVID-19 within 5 days before boarding and only those who test negative can be allowed to board the plane.
Oman Air is to check the health codes or the Health Declaration Forms of relevant passengers during check-in or before boarding. The following procedures are for reference:
Nationals of China (People’s Rep.) who are arriving from or have transited through Oman and 130 other countries (refer Timatic for list of countries) , must have a green QR code with an ‘HS’ mark. The code can be obtained with a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) nucleic acid test result issued at most 3 days before departure.
Passengers who are arriving from or have transited through Oman and 130 other countries (refer Timatic for list of countries), must have a Health Declaration Form issued by a Chinese embassy or consulate. The form can be obtained with a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) nucleic acid test result issued at most 3 days before departure.
This does not apply to nationals of China (People’s Rep).
For foreign passengers, only those who can present Health Declaration Forms issued by a Chinese embassy or consulate are allowed on board. Please be noted that a Health Declaration Form is different from a Chinese visa.
Both the green health code with an “HS” mark and the Health Declaration Forms have a validity period. The health code will turn gray when expired. In the case of a flight delay, please check the validity of the health code or the Health Declaration Forms based on the original departure time, and if valid, please allow the passenger with such a gray health code or an expired Health Declaration Forms on board. 
For passengers departing from Oman and ultimately bound for China who transfer via other countries, the above-mentioned procedures for checking their health codes or Health Declaration Forms should also be followed. Otherwise, they may not be allowed to board the connecting flight.
For flights ultimately bound for China which make a technical stopover in Oman, there is no need to check the health codes or Health Declaration Forms of their passengers during the stopover. Only those China-bound passengers who board the plane during the stopover in Oman are required to have their health codes or Health Declaration Forms checked.
Passengers with a residence permit issued by China (People’s Rep.) with the purpose ‘work’, ‘personal matters’ or ‘reunion’ are allowed to enter

EGYPT – as of 28.09.2020
Flights to Egypt restarted.
A completed “Public Health Card” must be presented to immigration upon arrival.
Passengers arriving from Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China (People’s Rep.), Colombia, Ecuador, France (Paris only), Germany (Frankfurt Only), Guyana, Japan, Mexico, New-Zealand, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Thailand, USA, United Kingdom (London Heathrow Only) , Uruguay or Venezuela must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) RT-PCR test result. The test must have been taken at most 96 hours before departure of the last direct flight to Egypt. The medical certificate must be issued and stamped by an accredited laboratory, it must indicate the type of sample taken for the swab and must be in Arabic or English.
This does not apply to passengers younger than 6 years.
Passengers arriving from any other country must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) RT-PCR test result. The test must have been taken at most 72 hours (from the time test specimen given to hospital) before departure of the last direct flight to Egypt. The medical certificate must be issued and stamped by an accredited laboratory, it must indicate the type of sample taken for the swab and must be in Arabic or English.
This does not apply to passengers younger than 6 years.
Passengers arriving at Hurghada (HRG), Marsa Alam (RMF), Sharm El Sheikh (SSH) or Taba (TCP) without a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result are subject to a PCR test on arrival at their own expense.

Passengers are not allowed to enter.
This does not apply to;
nationals of France and their spouses and children;
British nationals and nationals of Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Vatican City (Holy See) and an EEA Member State and their spouses and children;
passengers arriving from Andorra, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Korea (Rep.), Monaco, New Zealand, Rwanda, San Marino, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Vatican City (Holy See) or an EEA Member State;
passengers with a diplomatic, official or service passport;
passengers with a residence permit issued by Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Vatican City (Holy See) or an EEA Member State;
merchant seamen;
students;
passengers with a confirmation of being an unmarried partner of a national of France. They must also have a written invitation from the national of France;
passengers with a Laissez-Passer.

Passengers arriving from Algeria, Argentina, Armenia, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Rep., Equatorial Guinea, India, Israel, Kosovo (Rep.), Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Madagascar, Maldives, Mexico, Moldova (Rep.), Montenegro, Oman, Palestinian Territory, Peru, Qatar, Serbia, South Africa or Turkey must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result. The test must have been taken at most 72 hours before departure. Passengers without a medical certificate must take the test on arrival.
This does not apply to passengers younger than 11 years.
A completed International Travel Certificate must be presented prior to boarding and to immigration upon arrival or when transiting France. The certificate can be obtained at consulates or at https://www.interieur.gouv.fr.
This does not apply to passengers arriving from Andorra, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Korea (Rep.), Monaco, New Zealand, Rwanda, San Marino, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Vatican City (Holy See) or an EEA Member State.
Passengers must complete a declaration on honor to state that they do not have symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Passengers are subject to quarantine or isolation.

Germany – published 12.10.2020 (source IATA News)
Passengers are not allowed to enter.
This does not apply to:
nationals of EEA Member States and Switzerland;
British nationals;
passengers arriving from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland or United Kingdom;
immediate family members of nationals of EEA Member States and Switzerland. They must present proof of their family relationship;
immediate family members of British nationals. They must present proof of their family relationship;
immediate family members of residents of Germany. They must present proof of their family relationship;
passengers with a residence permit issued by an EEA Member State or Switzerland;
passengers with a long term visa issued by an EEA Member State or Switzerland;
passengers with a visa issued by Germany after 17 March 2020;
residents of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, and Uruguay. They must have been living in the residence country for at least 6 months;
military personnel;
merchant seamen;
passengers traveling as students if they cannot complete their study outside Germany;
unmarried partners of residents of Germany. They must have a written invitation and a copy of the identity document of the resident in Germany. They must also have a declaration and be able to present proof of their relationship.
Passengers are subject to Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test and quarantine for 14 days. More information can be found at

Passengers who have been in a risk area (updated risk areas can be found under HTTPS://WWW.RKI.DE/COVID-19-RISIKOGEBIETE ) at any time in the 14 days prior to arrival are must have Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 negative test report prior to departure (CM-Germany.
All passengers travelling to Germany will need to take a COVID-19 test, except passengers on transit/transfer. Tests taken up to 48 hours prior to departure in Oman are accepted and passengers do not require mandatory test upon arrival. (ASM-FRA)

INDIA – published 06.10.2020
Flights to India are suspended until 31 October 2020.
This does not apply to relief, repatriation and humanitarian flights.
Passengers are not allowed to enter.
This does not apply to:
nationals of India;
residents of India;
passengers with an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card or booklet;
students if one of the parents is a national of India or OCI card holder
minors if one of the parents is a national of India or OCI card holder;
spouses of nationals of India;
single parents of a minor who is national of India or OCI card holder;
passengers returning from a neighboring country via India to their country of residence;
passengers with diplomatic, official, UN/International Organizations or project visas.
passengers with a visa or an e-visa issued after 30 June 2020 by India.
Passengers are not allowed to transit Delhi (DEL)
Visas and e-visas issued before 30 June 2020 are invalidated.
This does not apply to:
Diplomatic, official, UN/International Organizations or project visas/all category of Employment visas;
airline crew;
Business visa (excluding B-3 visa for sports).
Passengers arriving in India:
are subject to medical screening and quarantine for 14 days; and
must install “Arogya Setu” in their personal device; and
must present a completed Self-reporting form obtained at https://www.newdelhiairport.in/covid19.
All passengers shall download Air Suvidha app (link https://www.newdelhiairport.in/airsuvidha/apho-registration
Passengers arriving BLR, MAA, GOI must hold RT-PCR negative test report taken within 96 hours prior to departure.
Passengers not having RT-PCR negative test report before departure shall undergo mandatory RT-PCR test on arrival.
Passengers arriving COK shall submit completed Affidavit to authorities in arrial.

Passengers arriving in to State of Karnataka (BLR)
Travellers must submit the Air Suvidha self-reporting form on the online portal https://www.newdelhiairport.in/airsuvidha/apho-registrationat least 72 hours before scheduled travel. It is mandatory to fill this form prior to boarding.
All passengers must download Aarogya Setu app, Quarantine Watch app and ApthamitraApp on their mobile devices. (https://covid19.karnataka.gov.in/new-page/softwares/en).
Business/ short term travellers whose duration of stay is between 48 hours and 7 days shall produce the negative RT-PCR test report for verification upon arrival at BLR Airport to the State Government officials to be exempt from quarantine. Such passengers shall submit a declaration with respect to authenticity of the test report.
Business Travellers must carry following documents;

Purpose of visit / invitation letter
Place of stay / hotel reservation
Valid visa
Business Travellers with less than 48hours stay do not require COVID-19 Test or Quarantine upon arrival
Business Travellers with stay between 48hours and 7 days require COVID-19 test (self-paid) upon arrival unless passenger is holding a RT-PCR negative Test Report issued with 96hours prior to departure.
The cost of COVID-19 test (only on need basis) shall be borne by the passengers (**RAT: Rs 700 | ***RT-PCR: Rs 2,500) or as per guidelines issued by Govt. of Karnataka from time-to-time.

Passengers arriving in to State of Maharastra (BOM)
Must complete online application form for self-reporting/declaration at www.newdelhiairport.in.
Passengers carrying negative RT-PCR test report can travel to home district.

Passengers arriving in to State of Telengana (HYD)
All passengers must complete on-line Self Declaration Form and submit a printed copy to be endorsed by Airport Health Officer.
Symptomatic passengers will be isolated and taken to medical facilities on passenger expenditure.
Asymptomatic passengers must be in institutional quarantine for 7 days on passenger expenditure.
Distress passengers and children below 10 years may be permitted 14 days home quarantine
Passengers with negative RT-PCR test with test conducted within 96 hours to departure may be allowed to undertake 14 days home quarantine.
Passengers on business travel with less than 4 days duration are exempted from quarantine provided holding negative RT-PCR taken 96hours prior to departure.
Government reserve the right to test any passenger on arrival at passengers own expense.

INDONESIA – published 10.09.2020 (Source IATA News)
Passengers are not allowed to enter and transit.
This does not apply to:
nationals of Indonesia;
passengers with a Temporary Stay Permit (ITAS) or Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP);
passengers with a diplomatic or a service visa;
passengers with a diplomatic or service stay permit;
passengers with a visa issued after 31 March 2020;
nationals of the United Arab Emirates traveling under the Safe Travel Corridor program to Denpasar (DPS), Jakarta (CGK), Medan (KNO) or Surabaya (SUB) with a business visa business. They must:
have a return ticket;
have a medical certificate in English with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result issued at most 72 hours before departure;
complete the “electronic health awareness card (e-HAC)” and submit it before departure at https://inahac.kemkes.go.id/ or present it upon arrival;
are subject to medical screening.
Passengers without a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result issued at most 7 days before arrival are subject to medical screening and quarantine for 14 days.
Airline crew without a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result issued at most 7 days before arrival are subject to medical screening and quarantine until their next flight.
A completed “electronic health awareness card (e-HAC)” must be submitted before departure at https://inahac.kemkes.go.id/ or presented upon arrival.
Deadhead crew will be given an entry stamp. They must:
have a valid crew ID card or crew member certificate;
provide written notification to Immigration Officer proving they will be on duty on the return flight. The notification must be received by Immigration Officer minimum 24 hours from arrival.

Suspension of visa on arrival facilities for passengers traveling as tourists.
E-visas can be obtained before departure at http://e_visa.mfa.ir/en/ . Passengers must have an e-visa confirmation.
Nationals of Iran who stayed abroad longer than 2 weeks and who do not have a medical certificate with a Coronavirus (COVID-19) Molecular test, written in English or approved by an Iranian consulate, are subject to Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test and quarantine.
Passengers must have a medical certificate with a Coronavirus (COVID-19) Molecular test issued at most 96 hours before arrival. The certificate must be in English or approved by an Iranian consulate.  Passengers with a medical certificate issued longer than 96 hours before arrival are subject to medical screening, Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test and quarantine, at their own expense.
This does not apply to passengers with a consular, diplomatic, official, service or special or passports traveling on duty.
Passengers with a consular, diplomatic, official, service or special passport are subject to medical screening upon arrival, Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test and quarantine.
Passengers are subject to medical screening and quarantine.
A completed Self-Declaration Form must be presented to the carrier before arrival.

Passengers who in the past 14 days have been to or transited through Belgium, Czechia, France, Netherlands, Spain or the United Kingdom and who arrive without a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) molecular or antigenic test result issued at most 72 hours before arrival, are subject to taking the test upon arrival or within 48 hours from arrival.

Flights from Algeria, Armenia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Dominican Rep., Kosovo (Rep.), Kuwait, Moldova (Rep.), Montenegro, North Macedonia (Rep.), Oman, Panama, Peru and Serbia are suspended.
Passengers arriving in Sicily from Croatia, France (Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, Corsica, Hauts-de-France, Ile-de-France, New Aquitaine, Occitania, Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur regions), Greece, Malta or Spain are subject to Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test on arrival.
This does not apply to passengers with a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result issued at most 72 hours before arrival.

JORDAN – published 30.10.2020
Flights to Jordan are suspended until 15 October 2020.
This does not apply to:
humanitarian, medevac and repatriation flights;
flights from Algeria, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong (SAR China), Hungary, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, Morocco, Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russian Fed., Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sudan, Switzerland, Syria, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, USA, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom or Yemen.

While in the country, all international travelers should observe adherence to Infection, Prevention and Control measures such as hand hygiene, wearing masks and keeping physical distancing as deemed appropriate;
All travelers are required to truthfully fill out Traveler’s Surveillance Form available onboard or in any other transport means and submit to Port Health Authorities upon arrival;
All international arriving passengers shall dispose-of their masks after use during travel at designated waste collection containers upon arrival;

Passengers must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) RT-PCR test result issued at most 72 hours before departure. The certificate must be in English.
This does not apply to nationals of Thailand.

an insurance to cover medical expenses in Thailand, and
a Certificate of Entry issued by Royal Thai Embassy, and
a Fit to Fly health certificate in English.

Airline crew are subject to self-isolation until their next flight.
Airline crew staying overnight must have a guarantee letter from the airline or a health insurance certificate with a coverage cost of at least USD 100,000.

nationals of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia with a United Arab Emirates Identity Card arriving at Dubai (DXB);
nationals of Korea (Rep.) traveling under the Fast Track program and arriving at Dubai (DXB). They must have a pre-arranged visa or a pre-approval to enter;
passengers arriving at Abu Dhabi (AUH) with a resident visa;
nationals of Korea (Rep.) traveling under the Fast Track program and arriving at Abu Dhabi (AUH). They must have a pre-approval to enter;
nationals of Indonesia traveling under the Safe Travel Corridor program. They must have an entry permit and a return ticket.
Passengers arriving at Dubai (DXB):
are subject to medical screening, and
must present a completed self-declaration health form, and
must download and register the COVID-19 DXB Smart App.
Passengers traveling as tourists arriving at Dubai (DXB) must have health insurance.
Residents of United Arab Emirates with a residency visa issued in Dubai returning to Dubai (DXB) must have a GDRFA approval obtained before departure on https://smart.gdrfad.gov.ae/Smart_OTCServicesPortal/ReturnPermitService.aspx
Residents of United Arab Emirates must check their status on https://uaeentry.ica.gov.ae before departure.
Passengers entering Al Maktoum (DWC) or Dubai (DXB) must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result. The test must have been taken at most 96 hours before departure. The certificate must be in Arabic or English, and must be issued by an approved lab listed on https://screening.purehealth.ae or a lab accredited by the departure country.
This does not apply to:
nationals of United Arab Emirates;
passengers younger than 12 years;
passengers with disabilities.

Transit is only allowed for maximum 24 hours at Abu Dhabi (AUH).
Passengers transiting Abu Dhabi (AUH) for more than 8 hours must have a confirmed hotel booking.
Nationals of Nigeria must have a return ticket, and a hotel booking or proof of accommodation address for the period of intended stay.
This does not apply to passengers with a resident visa.
Passengers must wear mask and gloves.
All citizens, residents, tourists and transit passengers are require to obtain a negative COVID19 certificate before arriving into DXB or DWC.
